Col. Geary made a personal reconnoisance yesterday as far as Carter’s Mill. The enemy have completely fallen back. Their path was blackened with the ruins of hay and grain stacks.
Col. Geary and officers went to Ball’s Bluff and buried whatever bodies they found there.
