A correspondent of the Burlington Hawk-eye, writing from Pittsburg, says, he “has it from reliable
authority” that the recent skirmish of the Iowa 2d Cavalry for the reliefe of
Paine’s division, 400 of them were taken prisoners. This, of course is a mistake, as only three
were missing on return to camp.
