And with this post comes to a close, 4 years of living with Alexander G. Downing, following him from his enlistment to his discharge, Shiloh, Corinth, Garrison Duty, Guard Duty, Hospital Duty, the March to the Sea, the Carolina Campaign and the Grand Review. He never missed a day in his diary though at times he fell behind he would sometimes back track and "catch up."
