May 17^th, 1862, John F. Stryker, son of Rev. A. W. and M. M. Stryker, aged seven years, eight months and eleven days.

In Danville Township, on the 15^th inst., Charlie Nelson, oldest son of N. M. & Emily F. Ives, aged nine years and four months – of malignant Scarlet Fever.  A bright and promising boy, of unusual maturity of mind.
