Mr. McCosh received a dispatch Saturday afternoon, from his son, announcing that the Sixteenth regiment would start up the Tennessee river this (Sunday) morning. – They received their arms and tents last Wednesday, and rather expected to go to New Mexico, for which mules and transportation wagons were being provided. This destination will suit them much better, for no Iowa regiment will fancy being shoved into an out-of-the-way- corner; on the contrary, they prefer being where the heaviest fighting is to be had and the hardest blows struck.
