I am well assured you are doing all in your power to promote
the comfort of your men. Allow me to suggest one thing that, possibly, may be
of service. Hold your company officers to a strict accountability for the
perfect cleanliness of their company quarters, and of the clothes of their men,
and for the cleanliness and good cooking of the food for the companies. It
seems to me the company officers should see to these matters and should be held
accountable if they are neglected.
