Snowed all day; seems quiet after such an exciting life in
the army. Mr. Lyman Drury brought Pert down this evening. Byron Bradley writes
that Uncle Pierce and Cousin Abby are somewhere in the East. My face wound
troubles me tonight and I guess always will by spells.
