A rebel physician (not a regular one), told me that it looked very dark
for the Confederacy just now; that we need have no fears but we would get home
very soon now, which is grand good news. I have no fears now but all will turn
out well. Everything points to a not far away ending of the war, and all will
rejoice, rebels and all.
