Dear Doctor, —
Here is a letter which indicates that the crisis approaches, and it shows that
our friend Robinson is the man to meet it. That a revolution must take place in
Kansas is certain, if that can be called a revolution which is only an
overthrow of usurpation. When farmers turn soldiers they must have arms. Write
to Hartford and get their terms for one hundred more of the Sharps rifles at
once.
