[W]e land at
Clarksville, Tennessee, forty miles above Fort Donelson. After landing, the
regiment is quartered in an old tobacco factory, which seems to please those
who smoke, for there is a superabundance of the weed stored here. Says one:
“This will save our “collaterals?”
