MY DEAR GENERAL:— I
enclose you a letter and newspaper slip just received from Rogers which will
enlighten you on Duluth prospects. Please return them. I am particularly
anxious to have Rogers interested in this property, as he is the discoverer.
Can you give him a third interest in your lots, he to pay his share and
interest at next payment? I propose to get a joint interest with him on some
such terms. He can be very useful in protecting us from loss by sales, etc.,
etc., at proper times.
