At the risk of a free journey to Lafayette, we venture to
state that the Third battalion of the First Iowa Cavalry, now it St. Louis, is
ordered to Jefferson City, where it is expected that the whole regiment will be
reunited. Lieut. Col. Moss, of this
regiment, now in this city, on a visit to his family will leave to-morrow, to
join his command. – Gate City.
