I send you the “Examiner” of to-day, which has full extracts
from the Northern papers — about the battle. Some of the handcuffs were
shown at the Hotel, yesterday, but I did not happen to see them. ’Tis however a
fact — how many exactly I don't know — but there are certainly a great many
taken.
