Company B chipped in
for a metallic coffin and Holmes will go home. A hearse from the city has just
been here and taken him away. He was one of the best of fellows, and very
popular with the men. I wonder now if Kniffin will be tried on us again. There
is some reason for it now, but it should go to Riley Burdick, who is next in
line.
