Two funerals to-day.
We have quite a graveyard started. From all I can hear, by talking with
soldiers of other regiments, none of them have been hit as hard as the 128th
New York. And it all comes from our being stuffed into the hold of the Arago a
month before we sailed. A big responsibility rests somewhere.
