Last night rained
hard with heavy thunder & vivid Lightning. The Brigade is inspected at 2 P.
M. by Maj Genl. Osterhaus. hear artillery all the time every day from 9 A. M.
to 4. P. M. batteries practicing. Dan Costellos Show exhibits at the Cove
tonight. Col Lofland presents me a sword.
