A Mysterious Discovery

A sort time since the Jeffersonian Railroad Company purchased an old and dilapitated [sic] building on the corner of Wall and front streets (which was used in olden times for a hotel) workmen in repairing the building a few days ago, took up the floor, when to their astonishment they discovered the remains of several female persons, and also those of a small infant wrapped in cloth. There [is a] mystery connected with the affair which will probably never be solved. – {Louisville Journal
