to Kentucky October 2. Camp at Ashland, Ky., till January, 1863. Attached to
District of Eastern Kentucky, Dept. of the Ohio. Moved to Paintsville, Ky.,
January, 1863; thence to Covington via Peach Orchard, Louisia and Catlettsburg,
February. Duty at Covington till May. Designation of Regiment changed to 1st
Ohio Heavy Artillery May 2, 1863 (which see).
