Yesterday on ’Change,
on motion of Julian S. Ramsey, Esq., resolutions were offered and unanimously
adopted, inviting delegates and others in attendance upon the Republican
Convention, to visit their rooms, which are thrown upon them. The rooms are
situated on South Water street, near Wells street bridge, and all who have an
hour to spare will find a hearty reception.
It was also resolved
that the Board of trade invite the Delegates to take a pleasure excursion on
Lake Michigan, and an efficient committee was appointed to make all the
necessary arrangements.
