We are indebted to . . .

. . . W. Scofield, A. A. A. General, for Colonel Lauman’s Report and for a list of the casualties in the 7th and 14th Regiments Iowa volunteers, and to Dr. W. R. Marsh, Surgeon 2d Iowa for a list of the casualties in this Regiment.  Of course these reports came by mail.  We have long since ceased to look for any such thing by telegraph.
