Yesterday a letter from Rob for Father, saying he had made
up his mind to enter the regular army and asking him to do all in his power to
get him a commission. I should be very sorry if I didn't know that Rob knows
what he's about and wouldn't undertake such a step without thought. He says he
thinks the war is to be a long one.
