A letter from my dear S. at Winchester. She says she is
wearing herself down in the Confederate service; but there are so many soldiers
in the hospitals that she is too much interested to give up nursing them even
for a day. Our army still at Bunker's Hill. We are expecting daily to hear that
it is falling back. When they leave the Valley all the sick that can be moved
will be brought down to the Richmond hospitals, which are now comparatively
empty.
