There was considerable thunder during the night, but no rain
here, yet it has been cooler to-day than yesterday. We have a few lemons left.
Captain Edwin Dillingham's commission as Major came this forenoon; regiment
goes on picket to-night; slight shower with thunder about 4 o'clock p. m. and
it's cooler.
