Diary of 4th Sergeant John S. Morgan: Saturday, March 14, 1863

All in shore at 8. A. M. stacked arms with orders to stay near, slight cannonadeing at 3. P. M. called in line to go out on picket, was after dark before the regiment was posted. Position in ½ mile of fort.
