BALTIMORE, March 31.
A most remarkable steam boiler explosion occurred this P. M. at the Baltimore House of Refuge. A boiler attached to the house several feet from the main building, was blown up fully 200 feet in the air, then taking an easterly direction exploded again, after which it passed in a straight line 250 feet to the north and fell directly on the roof of the school building, carrying with it a slate roof, rafters, beams, and plaster, crushing into the school room, where were about 70 boys, but 2 of whom were killed and 7 wounded.
