FORTRESS MONROE, March 3. – Nothing has yet been heard of
the released Union prisoners. No flag of
truce had passed between Ft. Monroe and Craney Island.
Gen. Wool had refused to permit any more passengers to go
South.
The Constitution on her way up to New Port News was fired on
by the rebel boat but not damaged.
