Division, 22nd Army Corps, and assigned to garrison duty at Forts Whipple, Woodbury,
Chase, Tillinghast and Albany, Defences of Washington, south of Potomac, till
August. Repulse of Early's attack on Washington July 11-12. Mustered out August
20, 1864.
