Succeeded in getting Dr. Lewis into our tent; is rather
under the weather, owing to exposure and hardship. Jimmy Devers spends the
evenings with us and we have funny times talking over better days — and are
nearly talked out. I have said all I can think, and am just beginning to talk
it all over again. All our stories have been told from two, to three or four
times, and are getting stale. We offer a reward for a good new story.
