Went up to Atchafalaya
last night where we threw off our cotton and took on wood. This is a bright,
sunny morning, though rather cool. I have observed that nearly every Sunday
since the first of the year has been beautiful and bright. No matter how gloomy
the weather has been through the week, I have come to look for a pretty Sunday
as regularly as the day comes.
