Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad, President's Office, BALTIMORE, April 21st, 1861
Hon. GEO. W. BROWN, Mayor of Baltimore
THREE thousand (3000) Northern troops are reported to be at
Cockeysville. Intense excitement prevails. Churches have been dismissed and the
people are arming in mass. To prevent terrific bloodshed the results of your
interview and arrangements with President Lincoln are awaited.
